Nutrition for infants and children with cow's milk protein allergy

CMPA is one of the most common food allergies in infancy, caused by an abnormal immune response to proteins found in cow's milk. It's also associated with increased gut permeability and altered gut microbiota. It can affect how a child's immune system matures, increasing the risk of developing further allergies down the line.

Our range of nutritional solutions—Althéra HMO, Alfare HMO, Alfamino HMO and Alfamino Junior HMO—are tailor-made for infants and young children with mild to severe CMPA, as well as more complex multiple food allergies. We've carefully designed the range to help parents and healthcare professionals manage CMPA with the right product from the beginning.

Our range of extensively hydrolyzed formulas and amino acid-based formulas are also the first to contain 2'-fucosyllactose (2’FL) and lacto-N-neotetraose (LNnT), two human milk oligosaccharides structurally identical to those found in breastmilk (not sourced from breastmilk). HMO are potentially valuable components to support the immune system of the most vulnerable infants with CMPA.
